Amoeba Productions' goals for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belongingness
We are happy to present Amoeba Productions’ Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belongingness Statement and Goals. Check back at the end of the year for an overview of how we did on our goals, what we learned, and what we intend to improve on next year.
STATEMENT
Amoeba Productions is committed to creating intentional spaces that honor the autonomy, vision, and identity of all experiences held by our collaborators and audience members. This requires our constant dedication to transparency, education, and action to grow our understanding of how we can serve the communities we make art with, and within.
First, we must confront that Amoeba Productions is a product of the oppressive systems that this industry and country are born from. The white supremacist capitalist patriarchy puts each of us in places of privilege. Only by welcoming conflict as an opportunity to place lived experience over the urgency for profit, can we build a liberated company.
In striving to move beyond statements and instead enact tangible actions that discard the practices of ableist white supremacy, the company has set the following goals. Our intention is to weave accessibility, agency, and accountability into every function of Amoeba Productions.
